Growing up my parents always had a German Shepard, a Chihuahua, two birds and two rabbits (which turned into 30 at one point but who's counting)? I currently own the nicest, biggest, baby Presa Canario you will ever meet named Leonidas. No matter how big or small, he loves furry friends as much as I do. My love for animals started at a young age. I grew up in Maryland however one of my very first jobs was at a veterinary practice in Virginia. I fell in love with working in the vet field very quickly and wanted to be more hands on. I went from being a receptionist to a vet assistant, to a hospital director and quickly gaining all the knowledge and technical skills needed to be a lead ICU technician at two well known veterinary hospitals in the tri-state area. I have worked as a senior veterinary technician at Friendship Hospital for Animals for the past two and a half years where I take on critical cases and outpatient treatments.  I love knowing that dogs and cats are in good hands inside and outside of work, when they leave the hospital.

I look forward of making sure your pet continues to receive the best care possible while you and your family are away.

As long as I can remember I have been fascinated with and loved animals. I grew up in Washington D.C. with a multitude of pets including dogs, cats, fish, frogs, birds and a turtle (he ran away, it's a long story). The strong human/animal bond led me to a future career in veterinary medicine. I worked as a veterinary technician at Friendship Hospital for Animals for over 10 years. I have learned and acquired a wealth of knowledge and skills from giving subcutaneous fluids to kitties with renal disease, to administering insulin injections to diabetics. If you name it, I have done it. Outside of working with animals, I enjoy hiking, gardening, beer making, and cooking.

I look forward to meeting you and your animal companion and hope to forge a great bond.
